Our Programs

Little Dragons

Our Dragon’s program is for children aged 3-5 years and is specially designed to cover some basic Martial Arts technique but more importantly covers life skills such as “stranger danger”, “911 phone skills”, “Fire Safety”, “First Aid” and many other extremely important skills all children should be aware of before they start school. Our teaching method for this age group is more games and activities based keeping your child excited as they develop gross motor skills, balance, dexterity, coordination, listening skills, respect, sharing and many other important life skills.

Little Ninjas

Our Ninja’s program is for children aged 5-7years and covers Martial Arts technique as well as important life skills. In our classes your child will learn basic self defense, proper kicking and punching technique as well as basic blocks. Our classes are always a combination of games/activities and Martial Arts curriculum as your child learns while having FUN.

Youth Karate

Our Youth program is for children aged 7-13 years. This program covers more on Kicking, Strikes, Stances, Forms, Self Defense, Sparring, Weapons training, Gymnastics, flexibility and much more. Our Karate program includes aspects of many Martial Arts to give your child the truly well rounded martial arts experience. When a child earns his/her black belt at Steve Anderson Karate they will truly understand what it means to be a Martial artist and that anything is life is achievable if you put your mind, body and spirit into it.

Adult Karate

Our Adult program is for aged 14 and up. If you think you are too old to start karate be sure to remember that unlike any other sports Martial Arts is an activity where you can excel in your own way at any age due to the wide variety of skills and aspects to each class. We at Steve Anderson Karate teach a combination of 5 different Martial Arts focusing on Self Defense, Sparring, Flexibility, Weapons, Tone and Muscle Strength and much more so that you are continuously expanding your Martial Arts education as well as obtaining long term Health benefits.As a Karate member you receive a FREE membership to our Kick Boxing program, giving you more Martial Arts education.

Kick Boxing

Our Kick Boxing program is for the aged 14 years and up. All of our classes are taught by certified Black Belts and personal trainers. You can expect to burn 1300 calories in one hour as you are also learning REAL self defense technique and PROPER kicking and striking technique. Weather you have Kick Boxing experience or not, here at Steve Anderson Karate you learn at your own pace. Once comfortable and you feel ready to move on we offer Intermediate and Advance Kick Boxing training making your learning experience fun and educational. We offer 5 different Kick Boxing classes so you never feel that our classes are repetitive.

List of different Kick Boxing classes:

Cardio Kick Boxing:
Fast paced, upbeat music on combining kicking and punching combinations to music. You work out at your own pace doing your best to follow the instructor as he/she takes you through a variety of combinations and toning drills for the entire body.
Kick Boxing Bags:
Focusing on resistance training using boxing gloves and heavy bags. By punching and kicking our heavy bags with various combinations and drills you will receive a full body workout and really feel your muscles working as the heavy bags provide resistance with each punch and kick you deliver.
Kick Boxing Technique:
This class is for everyone who wants to focus on proper technique. With proper technique you prevent injuries and are able to get a better workout with our other classes since you will know how to hit properly by using your whole body. This is a great class for people with little or no experience.
Kick Boxing Drills:
Focusing on boxing drills with focus pads and partner training you will learn to do hundreds of conditioning and Kick Boxing drills.
Body Conditioning:
This class is design to develop your core and overall body strength. Expect to use our dumbbells , swiss and medicine balls, resistant bands and our bosu balls for overall performance. This is a great class for students who do not like lifting weights in the gym.

XBT [Extreme Body Transformation]

If your goal is to lose weight and stay in shape and get toned or you are looking to gain muscle mass and strength then this program is for you. XBT is an 8 week course that combines Fitness Kick Boxing, Strength Training, Nutrition and Flexibility

The XBT includes:

  • 2 months of unlimited Kick Boxing Tuition
  • 2 months of our Weight Gym Membership
  • 3 Personal Weight training session
  • Weight training and Nutritional Plan
  • Daily Log book and Instructional DVD
  • Weekly personal Fitness Evaluation (This includes your flexibility and Strength Progress, also a before and after picture as well as your body fat % recorded before and after)

PLUS you’ll have a team of coaches and instructors to give you all the guidance you’ll need to achieve your fitness goals.

GYM

We at Steve Anderson Karate understand that to get the best result you must combine Nutrition with Cardio and Weight Training. If you are simply looking for a gym and you get bored attending your local fitness centre and need that extra motivation to reach your goals this is for you. Our personal trainers are always available to help guide you through your workouts.
